Iphone 1 billion apps promotion

Apple have launched a 1 Billion App Countdown promotion, offering the opportunity for users to enter to win a package of prizes valued at over $13,000.all you have to do will be just go and download an app in appstore=)

prizes include a $10,000 iTunes Gift Card, an iPod touch, a Time Capsule, and a MacBook Pro. Entries are only limited to user of some country though. Too bad my country aren't included=(

every user can get up to 25 entries per day,and the contest close when the billionth app is downloaded,the countries that are eligible include United States or the District of Columbia, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada (excluding the Province of Quebec), Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, or the United Kingdom.

OS 3.0

I am sure most of you iphone owners already know about the 3.0 OS, the beta is already avaiable on the web, but i am waiting for its release on summer.

unlike 2.0 which did not bring much changes, except for appstore, yes that was a big changes though.. the 3.0 will really wow most of the iphone user with its over 100 features

Some of its big changes include :
- The ability to search Iphone
-cut, copy, and paste, you can even undo the paste by shaking it
-Ability to type in landscape mode(bigger keyboard ,how cool is that =))
-video recording
-Stereo Bluetooth audio devices are now supported through the use of A2DP technology
-Push notifications will be standard in iPhone 3.0

1 Bad News Though for some users.. apple is planning on in-apps purchasing, where the developer can further charge you ingame, if you wish to purchase additional features, accesories, and e-books.
